Life imitates Art

I recently had to put the seven-year-old into time-out for a minor infraction.  While child #1 was still sitting in one corner of the kitchen, the eleven-year-old also earned a time-out.

As I settled child #2 into a separate corner, child #1 looks over with an expression straight out of a 40s gangster movie and says,

“So, what are you in for?”

  1. Wow. That seems so true sometimes. It is interesting how people used to say that art imitates life, that art is a representation of life in a way. That is what I usually say. But it is quite interesting to see how life can imitate art as well. Thank you for the new perspective.
